SYNOPSIS
Bobby Chinn has somewhat accidentally, found himself as a renowned chef running a successful restaurant in Hanoi, Vietnam. This is not a chef who attended a great culinary academy or was raised in the kitchen of a European inn. Instead he learned by watching, working and absorbing. This background gives Bobby a unique ability to communicate and teach what it takes to make delicious, sophisticated food.
To call Bobby Chinn unique does him a great disservice. Egyptian mother, Chinese father, raised in England, trained in San Francisco as a stock broker, fish salesman, comedian, waiter-and now chef. Unique does not begin to capture it.
Good food programming is driven by great personalities. However, many television personalities are little more than that - a manufactured personality. This guy is the real deal. He has succeeded in doing what few others had done and what many considered impossible - bringing quality western cuisine to a developing nation. He has gone from talking his way into Hubert Keller's kitchen in San Francisco to feeding ambassadors and the First Lady. He charmed them - he will charm the audience.
